This is me

I am a Peabody and Emmy Award-winning journalist and senior producer at CBS News, where I lead storytelling on politics, race, culture, and justice.

​

With nearly 20 years in broadcast news, I have produced groundbreaking reports on police brutality, environmental racism, and America's shifting political landscape. A proud daughter of Gary, Indiana, my work is deeply rooted in legacy, accountability, and healing.

​

I live in Washington, D.C., where I continue to tell the stories others try to silence — and to fiercely protect the ones who've always looked to me for safety.

I tell the truth, even when it hurts, and I help others do the same with care, clarity, and heart.

For nearly two decades, I've reported from the front lines of America's most pressing conversations - covering everything from police brutality and environmental racism to resilience, grief, and joy within the Black experience.
